Wildlife in Valdez and throughout the Prince William
Sound is both abundant and varied. Pictured below are several of the most common species
found in Prince William Sound and close to Valdez, Alaska. If you take a glacier tour or
fishing charter, you can expect to see many of the species described below during your
trip. The whales are especially sought after by the tour boat Captains, with many
sightings each week. If you spend anytime on the water, both glacier and sea kayak tours
are a great way to view the wildlife.
